What is a USPS QR Code?

A USPS QR Code, also known as a Quick Response Code (QR), is a type of barcode used by the United States Postal Service (USPS) to track shipments. These codes are used for package tracking and delivery confirmation, making it easy for customers to track their packages and receive updates on delivery status.

These USPS QR codes are also commonly used to print shipping labels for your packages. For example, if you bought something online and need to return it, a seller can use the USPS Label Broker service and provide you with a unique Label Broker ID along with a QR code. You can then take that ID to the post office, where the USPS can scan the QR code and print the shipping label for you. This way, you don’t have to waste time filling out shipping information or have your own printer to print labels.

How do I get a USPS QR code?

As a customer, you will receive your unique USPS card broker ID along with a QR code from the e-commerce business or merchant you ordered. The company or seller will provide you with this label broker ID via email or SMS, along with instructions on how to use it to print shipping labels. Once you have received your label broker ID, you can bring it to the post office with your shipment and they will scan the ID and print a shipping label for you. Alternatively, you can go to and enter your label broker ID to print shipping labels from your own printer.

How do I scan a USPS QR code?

If you have a USPS Label Broker QR code, you don’t need to scan it yourself. Simply bring the code to the post office with your shipment and a USPS employee will scan the QR code for you. Just let the salesperson know that you have a broker ID tagged with a QR code. They will then scan the code with their device, automatically retrieving and printing the shipping label associated with your ID.

Can USPS print my shipping label with a QR code?

Unfortunately, you cannot print shipping labels from the USPS Label Broker QR code. The QR Code and Label Broker ID are only used as unique identifiers to retrieve shipping labels stored in the USPS Label Broker archive. Therefore, you will need to bring your label broker ID to the post office, where they can scan it and print a shipping label for you.

Can I print my shipping label with a QR code?

If you’d like to print your own shipping labels, you can do so by logging into your account, going to Click-N-Ship, and viewing your shipping history. From here, you can select the shipment you need to label and then print the label on your own printer.

Can all USPS locations scan my USPS QR code?

Unfortunately, not all USPS locations can scan your USPS Label Broker QR code. Only participating USPS locations have the equipment and systems needed to access the Label Broker archive and print shipping labels.

To find a participating USPS location, you can use the USPS website’s PO locator and filter by services offered. From the “Service” drop-down menu, select “Label Broker” to display a list of USPS locations that can process Label Broker shipments. Once you find a participating USPS location, you can go to the post office to have your shipping label printed.
